...But how now? So much money before a single title has been released and without knowing what's going on? Here is a small preview of what to expect.
The outlook with a look back
The HARD:LINE is a film festival that is constantly growing and flourishing, but because of this constant growth and flourishing, it is also constantly reaching its limits. Time and again there has been talk of downsizing the festival and taking it "back to the roots". It is therefore logical that you are interested in what will be on offer this year. Nobody wants to buy a pig in a poke - of course!
We remember: In 2024, we had 13 feature-length films and 16 short films in the program. With 15 international film guests, we had more filmmakers at the festival than ever before. And this year? Well, at the moment we're still in the planning phase, but slowly but surely we're getting down to fine-tuning, which is why we can tell you this much without giving too much away: HARD:LINE 2025 won't be any bigger, but it won't be any smaller either. We are once again working on a varied program of feature-length films and two short film blocks. We are still a member of the Méliès International Festivals Federation. As always, we can expect a large number of German, European and world premieres. There will also be a Directors' Spotlight. Basically, everything will be similar to last year, perhaps with a few funny additions. A few hot titles have already been confirmed, and one or two guests have already confirmed their attendance, but - as is the way with us - things won't get really concrete until the coming weeks. Then we want to feed you with information bit by bit. Until then, dear fans and loyal HARD:LINE family, we'll have to hold out and...
Now to the nitty gritty
...and be courageous! But does it really take a lot of courage? If you're quick, you can get four days of festival fun for €110. That's €27.50 per day. Okay, beer and chips cost extra, but what else can you get for €27.50 these days? A Bayern ticket? Three packs of fags? Okay well, who wants to smoke three packs of cigarettes a day... The point is: with the early bird ticket you get an all-round carefree package, the familiar goodie bags and HARD:LINE, as you are used to.
From March 1, 2025, the season ticket would then be available for €130, which is still a great price, but not quite as great as if you buy it now. A tip: Experience shows that - at least last year - there were no more season tickets available on March 1 because the entire contingent of season tickets for the "Early Bird" was already used up. That's why you have to be quick!!!
