Boom! We're back! We're waking up from hibernation with a bang and throwing our artwork for this year's film festival right at you.
Who is sneaking along the Porta Praetoria at night? Who or what is wandering aimlessly through the narrow streets of Ratisbon? The souls of cats are unfathomable. Christian Fernández Larrere, Juan Vásquez, and Roger Venegas Rojas demonstrate this to us in a most impressive way. The trio enchants us for the third time with artwork that could not be better or more apt.
Christian is a jack of all trades with Chilean roots. He is a director, producer, screenwriter, and comic book artist. In collaboration with artist friends, Larrere published the graphic novel "Trash Days." He recently worked with Juan Vásquez on the expressionist comic book homage "Während der Nacht" (During the Night), which was published in 2025 by THENEXTART Verlag.
What are these graceful beasts lurking on the brick walls? What diabolical secret do these sinister felines guard? A puddle reflects the true nature of these cat-like creatures, which creep toward the Ostentorkino like velvety spawn of hell.
Do as our furry friends do! Form gangs, gather in packs, snuggle up in your cinema seats, and honor us once again this year with your cuddly presence at our sinister film festival! "Yes, when?" whispers the back rows. You can find that out too from our attractive artwork:
From April 16 to 19 at the Ostentorkino movie theater!!!!
Huh? And what does this addition about "April 17 to 22 Andreasstadel" mean? Exactly: this year we're trying something new! Because it's been getting more and more crowded in the cinema in recent years and because it's been getting harder and harder to get tickets, our festival films will be shown one day later, i.e., one day later in the cinemas in the Andreasstadel. This gives us and you a little breathing room so that—we hope—everyone who wants to can enjoy our selection of films. At the Andreasstadel, there will only be the films without any fanfare. The festival with guests and all the trimmings will only take place at the Ostentor.
So far, so good! That's enough information for now. But you can expect to hear from us regularly again soon. Behind the scenes, things are already bubbling away, so that soon it will be time once more for HARD:LINE – extreme cinema in Regensburg.
