That is what it is about

The young seamstress Barbara is a real artist who can literally create anything with a needle and thread. Nevertheless, things are going badly professionally. She is about to go out of business when she witnesses an accident - and life shows her three different, treacherous paths: commit the perfect crime, call the police or simply drive on. Choices, choices, choices ... and she will make them all, try each option once. Which one will hold the stitches?

What you should know

That one moment when you made the wrong decision. What would life be like if you had taken a different turn? A question that SLIDING DOORS or LOLA RENNT have already explored, but never as smartly and playfully as here. With a screenplay that artfully weaves a colorful web, subtle, quirky humor, great actors, precisely timed editing and outstanding art direction, SEW TORN is both perfectly tailored eye candy and the most entertaining thriller experience.

Direction

Freddy Macdonald is just 24 years old - and has already attracted a lot of attention in the film world. His critically acclaimed feature film debut SEW TORN, which is as wonderful to look at as it is unpredictable in terms of plot, premiered at SXSW and was nominated for the "Piazza Grande" award in Locarno. In addition to directing, he is also responsible for the screenplay and editing. SHEDDING ANGELS, his graduation film at the American Film Institute, won a student Oscar in 2022.
