STRETCHER is a pocket-sized thriller that is—in the truest sense of the word—gripping. A static camera stares down at Lola from above, emotionless and unflinching, from a third-person perspective. It’s the spot where a doctor should actually be standing, examining Lola. But it’s us who are looking down at the helpless protagonist. And the camera keeps on her. No matter what happens. No matter what terror she’s subjected to. Is this still authentic, or is it already voyeurism?

Thibault Fauconnet

Thibault Fauconnet is a French filmmaker and screenwriter. He previously gained a wide range of experience behind the scenes, primarily as an assistant director, including on the series PARIS POLICE 1900. With his short film ULTRAPOLICE (2023), he began realizing his own projects and developing his personal style as a director.
