But anyone who knows us knows that we don’t give up without a fight—instead, we’re going to really let loose on the festival’s final day. As is our tradition, we’ll do this by rocking you out of your theater seats—that’s right: with a concert in the theater! The band that’s going to make the theater shake this year: KALI!
Sunday, April 19, 2026, 6:00 p.m.: KALI
Kali—the name of the Hindu goddess of death, destruction, and renewal. A mystical figure who thrives on opposites and is nourished by contradictions. Kali embodies the creative force behind devastation, the inseparable symbiosis of light and shadow. It is precisely this dualism that defines the progressive rock band of the same name from Regensburg. Kali does not tread the well-worn paths of rock music, but instead forges its own, often unconventional path. The sound of the six musicians is built on profound concepts, ethereal melodies, and pounding polyrhythms and can be compared to that of bands like Stoned Jesus, Porcupine Tree, and Tool. The philosophy behind their name is deeply rooted in the psychedelic composition of songs like “Limbus,” “Unspoiled Earth,” and “Evolution,” which tell of cosmic processes and cerebral confusion.

Just a reminder, since this year’s closing night will be a bit different from previous years: the closing concert and the closing film are two separate events, which means you’ll need to buy separate tickets for the concert and the film. In past years, the concert and the film were part of a single event—but that’s no longer the case! Please keep this in mind when buying tickets if you plan to attend both!

Before we continue with the final movie, it's time to lean back and dig your fingers into the cinema seat. Lights out, spotlight on! It's time for the big awards ceremony. The gold and silver Razor Blade are ready to be presented. And the jury also reveals what the best European genre film of the festival is and sends the winning film to Sitges for the main round of the Méliès D'Or.
