Since the dawn of mankind, they have pulled the strings of human destiny. Over the millennia, they achieved a fine balance between life and death that has lasted for ages. But Death has grown weak... Together with his comrades-in-arms Hunger, Pestilence and War, he calls for a final meeting in which he pleads to free humanity from its torments. It quickly becomes clear, however, that the four horsemen of the apocalypse have different views of what that means.
