WE ARE STILL HERE marks Ted Geoghegan's first time in the director's chair for a feature-length film, having previously appeared primarily as a screenwriter and producer. His fondness for the horror cinema of the 70s and 80s is noticeable in every shot of the film, which is why the film attracted the attention of connoisseurs of the genre as well as some critics.
