As preparations for the festival got underway, complete chaos broke out and the almost forgotten pandemic struck back with full force. In addition, Bavarian culture had to learn that it counts for much less than beer. On reflection, one has to concede and admit: Yes, drunkenly cultureless is still better than just cultureless. However, it is also thanks to the chaos in the preparation that no one has to remain cultureless this year! Whether near or far, drunk or not.
In 2020, we already held a hybrid festival, i.e. both live in the cinema and online via streaming. A lot of the network exploitation went well, some didn't at all. That's why we adapted our model and looked for a new partner. Together with Pantaflix, we are once again launching our HARD:ON:LINE.
From 14 to 24 April, we will release two films from the festival every two days. A total of eight feature-length films and the two short film blocks will also be available online. But of course, the full broadside will only be available at the festival itself. What is new is that the films will be available in the virtual cinema for two full calendar days. Enough time to see them and discover genre cinema. Online, as in the cinema, the main credo is: it's all in the mix!
Click on the artwork or the film name to go directly to the film streaming. There you will also get more information about the screening. Tickets will be available from 11.4 via the streaming windows.
This short film block offers eight films from six countries, including two German premieres and two world premieres. From coarse to fine, creepy to funny: there's something for everyone here!
No body part stays on the other in this puppet horror film! This is the most charming mash-up the common gorehound will see this year.
This short film block features eight films from six countries, including four German premieres, one European premiere and one world premiere. Exotic, dark and bizarre!
Girls, party, bad guy! A fresh and rather crude representative of his guild. Gory, sarcastic, never boring, always piercing. Kinoparty ick hör dir trapsen!
Julian Richberg's film tells a sinister tale of light and shadow. This dark coming-of-age horror film is a hungry and utterly grim bastard!
Dripping with blood and nostalgia, Chad Ferrin's machination is a very entertaining, but also crude serial killer film. Bloody, weird and great to watch!
Unbelievable how good German genre fare tastes, how cool German horror looks and how well the giallo can speak German. A cinematic madness!
A deadly virus, hallucinations and struggles for survival. Accompanied by great pictures and a crazy sound design, HALL is an absolute indie highlight!
Such nihilistic charm is rarely seen in the cinema! This grim nightmare attacks you from behind and mercilessly eats into your brains!
The "shitty" variation of 127 HOURS wipes its ass with relish with the prevailing prudishness and Bavarian felt! Fun, gore and disgust included!
