Exactly two months from today, it's time to celebrate the tenth HARD:LINE Film Festival in Regensburg. This fact in itself makes us dizzy, because actually it should never have come this far. A festival in a cathedral city in the middle of Bavarian nowhere, which also takes care of the most unpopular of all genres in the area and stands on the feet of local conservatism. Then the bangers are also promoted. I'm sure they only do that to take the wind out of their sails and tame them a bit.
Yaaaaa, no. Actually, we are still doing the same nonsense as back then in our year of birth. Then as now, you can't help but watch, eyes wide with trepidation, how extreme cinema is celebrated here in Regensburg without attitude and with a lot of pleasure in the awful. For ten editions, the grandiose Heike Jörss, who knows everything that we are, has been part of the team. She knows who we are - what makes us tick and where it drips into our roof. Let's face it, she's probably even more of a nutcase than we are. Or she is an alien. Because things don't go right there...
What this woman has been conjuring up for years is out of this world. We get wee-wee in our eyes every year anew when she presents the artwork to us. We are shocked, impressed and proud. Yes, "proud" is the right word. We are proud to have this best graphic designer in the world at our side! Heike rules! And so is her Xth artwork for us.
