But first, a brief review with a look at what you might be able to expect.
The thing about Easter
Last year, our wonderfully unholy film festival happened to take place at Easter. Or was it Easter, which cheekily took place at the same time as HARD:LINE? It didn't really matter, but the circumstance brought with it a few minor inconveniences, such as several silent holidays on which no celebrations were allowed at all. No loud music. No dancing. Nothing, nada, the Bavarians know it - and always with the thought in the back of their minds that the public order office might take a closer look.
Another circumstance was that some of you were understandably plunged into a deep dilemma as to which commitment was more important: Celebrating Easter with the family or sitting in the movie theater at HARD:LINE? There were probably rows of arguments with your partner and the children cried because you secretly stole away just to celebrate the film festival with us, for which we are of course infinitely grateful.
The calendar means well with us: the Easter fuss will be a thing of the past in 2024. HARD:LINE Film Festival will take place from April 11 to 14, 2024. No dilemma and no remorse. There are just under ten days between the egg hunt and HARD:LINE this year, so we can all indulge in piety with a clear conscience. No public holidays. No Catholic obligations. Here's to a juicy Hossa!
Now to the nitty gritty
...at least that much can already be revealed. We are planning 13 feature-length films and 16 short films. We are assuming around 20 German premieres and 10 guests. Of course, things can still change, but that's roughly the direction we're heading in. That still sounds a bit vague, of course. If it helps you make a decision, then rest assured that we are currently working on a sophisticated program and that the proven cornerstones of the HARD:LINE will not be shaken.
Perhaps the following unbeatable offer will also convince you. From Saturday, 10.02.2024, from 0:01 a.m. to be precise, you can snap up an Early Bird season ticket at the special price of €90.
