We are well aware that Sunday 13:00 is an announcement. But it's worth it! There's something you don't get to see every day: Budaixi! The high art form of Taiwanese puppet theater "turns out" (hihi) to be an action-packed epic in the style of TIGER & DRAGON & CHINESE GHOST STORY.
15:15 WE ARE STILL HERE
The third film in our Directors Spotlight. Die-hard:liners will remember: WE ARE STILL HERE was already part of our program in 2015, back then as the opening film. So it's all the more of an honor to put director Ted Geoghegan in the spotlight. Geoghegan will be present at the screening and will answer your questions afterwards.
19:00 Closing evening: State, award ceremony & ALL YOU NEED IS BLOOD
"It's over, it's over, it's a shame it's true!" For the crowning finale of our film festival, we're really kicking it up a notch. Everything culminates in a final firework display, starting - in the classic way - with a concert. This year we will be honored by the up-and-coming post-punk band ZUSTAND. Will they turn the movie theater into a mosh pit?
After the concert, the real highlight of our festival: the awards ceremony. Audience favorites are chosen in the feature-length and short film categories. Our jury award, the Méliès D'Argent, will also be presented.
It's not all over after that. Our bouncer and final movie will show you once again where the hammer hangs. You want splatter? You want fun? You'll get both with ALL YOU NEED IS BLOOD.
