Bait

To ensure that the sensitive, shy Martín “amounts to something,” his father forces him to go hunting—with him and his boss, a stubborn, self-important man. There is no peace in the forest. Incitement and racist tirades are the anthems of the hunting trip. Soon the first buck is shot. The men take martial delight in the animal’s death. Martín is seething. Nature, too, seems to be brewing something powerful. Together they strike back, and the hunters become the hunted.
