That is what it is about

On the radio it was reported that there could be strange occurrences when the comet passes the earth and thus creates a space-time anomaly. Shattered mobile phone displays are just the beginning! That evening, eight friends finally reunite after years to toast old times over dinner. When the power suddenly goes out, a reconnaissance tour of the neighbourhood brings shocking results to light! No one is safe any more - not even from themselves!

What you should know

What begins like a drama catapults out of its leisureliness without ever losing sight of the essential. COHERENCE soon sets such a fast pace that it takes your breath away. When it becomes clear that it is not only the existence of a comet that makes this an impressively staged science fiction thriller, this mindfuck work of art completely captivates its audience. A must-see!

Direction

Rarely can a career be so clearly felt as with James Ward Byrkit. He made a name for himself as a storyboard artist for the first two parts of THE CARIBBEAN FAKE and also wrote the screenplay for Gore Verbinski's RANGO. At this time he only directed smaller short films and computer games. With COHERENCE he is about to make his feature film directorial debut and everyone will agree: This man belongs nowhere else but in the director's chair.
