Enrico and Thomas have become estranged after the death of their beloved mother and partner. Even Barbara, the youngest of the family, is unable to repair this. Enrico slips away. Where to, no one knows. And then there is the eternal rain and a mysterious mist that rises from the sewers. Those who breathe it in are haunted by hallucinations that incite murder and suicide. Paolo Strippoli was born in Italy in 1993 and works as a director and screenwriter. He became known through the horror film A CLASSIC HORROR STORY, produced for Netflix, which - contrary to the title - turned out not to be "classic" at all. In contrast to works that pant after the past heyday of Italian genre cinema without pause, Strippoli dares to tread new and entirely original paths. And these are exciting, courageous and extremely worth seeing.
