That is what it is about

Red and Mandy live in seclusion and perfect togetherness in the woods. Nothing can interfere with their deep love for each other! Not even the neighbourhood cult, which puts on its very own show. But when these fucking Jesus freaks break into the house with the help of a zombie biker gang and kill Mandy, the fun is over. Booze, coke, a crossbow and finally a forged wonder weapon are just some of the companions on the bloody vendetta against these assholes!

What you should know

What on earth is this incredible monster of a horror film? Superlatives are out of place, because they don't do MANDY justice. In nightmarish tranquillity, we stagger through the LSD-soaked images and marvel our souls out of our bodies... Until Nicolas Cage finally gets up to perhaps the best, craziest and most insane revenge in film history. This film is a masterpiece! A film for eternity! An absolute cult film! Pure madness!

Direction

Panos Cosmatos was born in 1974 to director George Cosmatos (TOMBSTONE) and Swedish sculptor Birgitta Ljungberg. He later emigrated to Canada, where he completed his first feature film as well as short films. A lover of film, games and music, pop cultural references permeate his work. His wild, almost avant-garde masterpiece MANDY thrilled not only fans but also lovers of fine cinema in Cannes. One might almost speak of a child prodigy.
