That is what it is about

A missing person, two detectives and tons of horror captured on video: The search for a missing woman leads a duo of investigators to a run-down house that is home to a special kind of film collection. In the hope of finding a clue to the whereabouts of the missing woman, the two dare to take a look at the disturbing material. And there is no way around it for the viewer either.

What you should know

Video was yesterday? No way! The sequel to the grotesque horror anthology V/H/S shows impressively that there is still a lot of potential in the flicker horror of the found footage genre. The fact that a handful of horror aficionados have really let off steam here is clear to see in S-VHS. With a lot of originality and a desire for exaggeration, the directing team stages varied, less squeamish and truly disturbed disturbing images that are guaranteed to have something in store for everyone.

Direction

In the second part of the video hell ride, some renowned genre directors join hands again. In addition to Gareth Evans (THE RAID) and Adam Wingard (A HORRIBLE WAY TO DIE), the new star of the terror trash sky Jason Eisener (HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN) is represented. Last but not least, Gregg Hale and Eduardo Sánchez, who brought a new dimension of horror into the cinema halls at the end of the nineties with their BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, once again show what they are capable of.
