That is what it is about

Nothing is any more. The world is empty when Aubrey wakes up after a night of mourning in the flat of her recently deceased friend and finds herself facing the apocalypse. Over the radio, news of another survivor reaches her. Apart from his voice, there is only gloom, death and decay in the world - and this creature that preys on anything that moves. When Aubrey finds a cassette with the inscription "This Mixtape will save the World", hope germinates...

What you should know

STARFISH is both a work of art and psychotherapy. In his debut film, which had its world premiere at Austin Fantastic Fest, director A.T. White explores the human psyche and what happens to the body and mind when we are literally consumed by grief. This film is an aesthetic triumph, a fantastic journey of no return and definitely one of the strangest works of this season. You don't have to love it, but you have to see it!
Original title: Starfish

Direction

The British musician and filmmaker A.T. White commutes between London and Los Angeles. Before STARFISH he already made a few short films: CHOOSE (2012), SPIDER-MAN ECLIPSE (2012), THE ABSENCE OF STRANGERS (2012), PULLING AWAY (2013) and ANOTHER YEAR (2016). White also fronts the British band Ghostlight, which released its debut album Best Kept Secret in 2019, and hosts the weekly podcast We Are Geeks. A jack-of-all-trades whose voice wants to be heard.
