That is what it is about

Ireland is the only country in the world where there are no private forests. This is basically an advantage for the forest explorer Adam, who, however, has to deal with the grumpy inhabitants of his new home. There are reports of grim figures; of gloomy creatures who tolerate no intrusion. Soon, however, he and his family discover that the sinister tales are true and that only one simple rule exists: Never cross the border into their realm!

What you should know

It takes great courage to take a children's film and turn it into a tough home invasion thriller. In Corin Hardy's debut film, goblins and fairies become fierce monsters who want to get at the intruders. The result is a refreshingly different monster movie that sits somewhere between THE DESCENT and SPIDERWICKS. THE HALLOW is nasty, bitterly evil and exciting right up to the last second: Childhood nightmares get new fodder here!

Direction

Even at a young age, Corin Hardy made small, wicked films with his friends. His first big success came with the music video for THE PRODIGY's "Warrior Dance". From then on it seemed only a matter of time until the Brit would make his way. THE HALLOW is his first film and has caused such a stir at many international festivals that Hardy will be in the director's chair for the remake of the dark classic THE CROW.
