That is what it is about

A group of four young adults travel to the Mojave Desert to shoot a music video. They disappear without a trace. The last sign of life are recordings of an emergency call, on which nothing but bloodcurdling screams can be heard. But memory cards were also found. Three of them. To see on it: The last recordings of the missing. The group's trip seems to have gone normally, until one night thunder sounds. Thunder so loud, as if the sky would explode...

What you should know

Found footage - you've seen one, you've seen them all... definitely not! Of course, this production also comes with a shaky camera and feigned realism. THE OUTWATERS, however, takes a direction that has never been seen before in this genre. It gets dark, it gets bloody and it gets so crazy that you no longer know where up and down is. A festival hit in the US, this crude mix of GERRY, BLAIR WITH PROJECT and HELLRAISER has everything we're looking for. And everything you need!

Direction

Robbie Banfitch hails from New Jersey, USA. Inspired by THE HILLS HAVE EYES and the Bigfoot flick WILLOW CREEK, he decided to take on the found footage genre. Thus, after many short film projects, THE OUTWATERS was his first feature film, with which Benfitch immediately created a mini-universe. The films CARD ZERO and FILE VL-624 will follow soon. The director, screenwriter, producer and musician did not miss the opportunity to take on one of the leading roles in THE OUTWATERS.
