That is what it is about

Desperate and in deep mourning, Ann and Paul retreat to a lonely house in New England to come to terms with the death of their son. But Ann is certain: Bobby is still in touch with his parents. Paul and a friend decide to contact the spirit in a seance. Instead of talking to Bobby, they unleash unimaginable horror. What is wreaking havoc within the walls of the house is out for revenge... and it will not rest until the last drop of blood has been spilt.

What you should know

This is what it looks like when horror fans make horror films and are both schooled in the subject and equipped with the necessary know-how! Atmospherically extremely tightly woven and oriented towards the haunted house films of the 1970s, this wild mix of oldschool horror and modern elements produces a true monster of a film. Everything is just right here: a damn creepy atmosphere and a well-dosed splatter overkill! Definitely one of the best haunted house films of recent years!

Direction

Until now, Ted Geoghegan has only appeared as a writer or producer, but with WE ARE STILL HERE he presents his debut work and receives praise from all sides. At the age of 20, he had already landed his first job as a screenwriter for Andreas Schnaa's first English-language film and has since appeared in the credit lists of SWEATSHOP and GRACELAND, among others. What Geoghegan delivers here, however, is an outstanding and impressive calling card for bigger projects!
