That is what it is about

The suspicion that Robert is having an affair grows stronger and stronger. Unusually long work appointments, harsh reactions and whispers on the phone drive his wife to sheer madness and rob her of sleep. Finally, she can't take it any more and tracks him to a secluded house, hoping to finally get some clarity. What she finds, however, is beyond imagination. In his spare time, Robert cultivates a bloody hobby that knows no bounds!

What you should know

Spain is not unknown as a genre stronghold. Time and again, there are flashes of talent that know how to tug at our nerves extremely well. Balagueró and De la Iglesia stand for quality, but the new generation does not sleep either! So Ángel González Martínez sets out to discover the serial killer genre for himself and creates a finely told, nerve-wrackingly exciting and debatable vision of fear and mistrust. Not a minute too long, COMPULSION is a bloody little film gem.

Direction

After graduating from law school, Ángel attended film school in Madrid and majored in production. He was subsequently involved in various film projects and founded the production company Schock Films together with José Pastor, through which he presents COMPULSION as an impressive directorial debut. The influences on Ángel's work range from classic terror films to Korean thrillers. His second horror film is currently in the works - which you should definitely keep an eye out for!

Our guests at the film screening

Ángel González Martínez, José Pastor

A film that lingers on and is therefore just the right candidate to poke holes in the belly of guests. Director Ángel González Martínez and producer José Pastor were not only likeable, but also had some exciting anecdotes to tell about the production.
