That is what it is about

A worldwide rampant virus has wiped out almost all humans. Only a few, chosen at random, are housed in bunkers to ensure the survival of humanity. Well supplied with food and social contacts. In small groups, the survivors are banded together to look out for each other through a communication system called "Domain". But the exclusion of one member shakes the fragile structure... and reveals a dark, unimaginable secret!

What you should know

Films like CUBE, MOON or DOMAIN live from their creativity and the ability to forge a believable premise out of the reduced setting. In the process, the limited set-up courts the film's success more than it stands in its way. DOMAIN lures the end-time thriller away from its well-trodden paths and gives it new possibilities. Atcheson's science fiction film is a gem of independent cinema and a discovery for friends of clever stories with unpredictable twists.

Direction

Nathaniel Atcheson won the Comedy Audience Award at the Austin Film Festival in 2009 with his first film HERPES BOY. But Nathaniel always saw himself more as a genre fan and eventually as a genre director. He wrote the book for DOMAIN back in 2010 and fleshed it out in the years that followed. He brought a first finger exercise with the basic idea to the screen with DEAD HERRING. With his retro survival science fiction mindfuck DOMAIN, he is currently causing a stir in fan circles.
