That is what it is about

Kara, a single mother, is a carer and moves to the countryside with her two children. There she is to look after the old ethnologist and collector Walter, who can no longer manage on his own. The house, crammed with relics, harbours some dark secrets. Even Walter doesn't quite believe in the mythological creature that a newly arrived relic holds. For Kara and her children, a family tragedy must be overcome in order to face this threat as well.

What you should know

ITSY BITSY is a creature feature to be reckoned with. Micah Gallo weaves a clever web from the titular nursery rhyme and ancient myths about giant spiders to slowly but surely tighten it around Kara and her children. In doing so, he savours effective jump scares and arachnophobic disgust, weaving these genre elements into a clever family drama in which the family becomes more and more entangled. Denise Crosby aka Tasha Yar from STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION stars as the sheriff.
