That is what it is about

Secluded in the Australian outback countryside, a small group hopes to survive a widespread epidemic. When the angry infected rage at the farm gates at night, they retreat to a stable and hope for a good end. More and more, however, the mood tilts and the greatest danger for the group becomes its members themselves. The arrival of an obliging and confident stranger seems to be the solution...

What you should know

Beyond the bloody trash cucumbers and star-studded mainstream horror films, there are small, vicious films that demand an audience. With fabulous atmospheric flair, this Australian production shows what zombie films should look like: Suspenseful and laced with crushing gloom, PLAGUE is one of the most intense end-times films of recent years! Instead of focusing on wild smack talk, PLAGUE shows the actual horror - relentless and disarming!
Original title: Plague
Rights holder: Screen Media
Language: English original version
Cast: Tegan Crowley, Scott Marcus, Steven Kennedy
Film Festivals: A Night of Horror Film Festival, Monster Fest, Perth International Film Festival

Direction

PLAGUE is the first feature film for both directors. Nick Kozakis has already made a name for himself with internationally awarded short films and music videos, while Kosta Ouzas was trained primarily in philosophy. In the end, the combination of the two can only be described as a "stroke of luck". Nick's technical know-how and Kosta's thoughts about man and his darker side mix to create an absolute must for fans of intelligent genre entertainment.
