That is what it is about

When the Spanish conquistadors conquered the Inca Empire in the 16th century, proud Inca warriors defended themselves with a deadly fighting technique that is now almost forgotten. To the present day, the secret of this technique has been preserved and passed down to a select few grand masters. Two ominous twins are the guardians of this secret. They are the last of their kind... and they defend the Holy Scripture of the "Fist of the Condor" to the death.

What you should know

A martial arts film from Chile - yes, is there such a thing? Including battle monk, slow motion and insane training montage. Are they serious? No! THE FIST OF THE CONDOR is not an obvious thigh-slapper, but a serious bow to the Hong Kong cinema of bygone days. 1a-choreographed and brilliantly directed. The back door to self-irony, however, remains wide open. The result is a completely crazy clunker that puts a big grin on your face.

Direction

Born in Chile in 1978, director Ernesto Díaz Espinoza is a big fan of Bud Spencer & Terence Hill movies, according to Imdb. That explains a lot! His 2006 debut KILTRO was well received by critics. It was followed by such flicks as BRING ME THE HEAD OF THE MACHINE GUN WOMAN and the feature "C is for Cycle" for the anthology horror ABCs OF DEATH. High school friend and actor Marko Zaror appears in many of Espinoza's films and can further be seen in MACHETE KILLS and soon: JOHN WICK 4.
