Covered in blood but unharmed, a young girl wakes up on an altar surrounded by dead bodies, on which she was forcibly bound by the followers of a ritual cult. After Gloria escapes completely distraught, she tries to lead a normal life. But years later she is kidnapped again by her tormentors. In BITE, Chad Archibald and his screenwriter Jame Laforest already proved that they make a good team. Clearly less on the disgusting edge than its predecessor, this vicious body horror film sets out to revisit the obsession theme. Chad Archibald's latest film is a horror film that more than deserves the term "horror" until its last shot and will cause wide grins on the faces of genre fans with its handmade effects.

After working as a producer on films such as ANTISOCIAL 2, BED OF THE DEAD and LET HER OUT, the star of the Canadian independent horror scene has finally returned to the director's chair. THE HERETICS is Chad Archibald's seventh film and certainly the most ambitious in the portfolio of his production company Black Fawn Films. The production studio's skills are applied in a variety of ways, with Archibald also directing and producing many music videos.

Director Chad Archibald, portrayed in the Directors Spotlight, came to Regensburg to present his films in his show of work dedicated to him. With him came leading actor Ry Barrett, who appeared on stage even more often at the 5th HARD:LINE Film Festival.
