That is what it is about

A film crew senses a story in the wooded north of Thailand: they accompany the medium Nim, in whom an ancient deity resides; a good spirit who is revered in the village. But there is also evil at work and it seems to have got into Nim's niece Mink. Sometimes she roams the streets, sometimes she beats little children, sometimes she fucks her way across the open plan office where she works. When she attacks her family, it is clear: the demon must be driven out of Mink. The solution? An exorcism!

What you should know

Mimimi, found footage, mimimi! Come on guys, we all agree that there are real gems in this subgenre, right? And if you don't like even BLAIR WITCH or SAFE HAVEN, then this could be your chance again. Stylistically closer to mockumentary, THE MEDIUM is one of the nastiest, most insane and yes, creepiest films we've ever had the pleasure of projecting onto our screens. What a fabulously vicious piece of work! What a crazy rollercoaster ride!

Direction

Bangjong Pisanthanakun caught the attention of international audiences in 2004 with his scary flick SHUTTER. Even then, he experimented with the representation of perception and reality and the role of modern media. The film, in which ghosts suddenly appear in developed photos, received three remakes - one from Hollywood. Pisanthanakun, who also works as a film critic, remained creative and in 2013 he succeeded in delivering the horror comedy PEE MAK, the most successful film of all time in Thailand.
