We start early with the Brazilian production PROPRIEDADE. Such hard fare so soon after lunch? We say: perfect! Where the average person enjoys an espresso, the "hard:liner" indulges in hearty genre pleasure. But what do all those who have to work on Fridays do (they really do)? Our tip: finish work early! Straight from work to the movie theater. Sounds like the perfect start to the weekend and the perfect prelude to a lavish festival day.
15:15 LÄIF A SÉIL
Time to take a deep breath? Not with us! Director Loïc Tanson will be traveling from the Duchy of Luxembourg to present his debut film LÄIF A SÉIL (Body and Soul). The film is Luxembourg's entry for the 2024 Foreign Oscar - oho!
17:30 KILL YOUR LOVER
Friday evening will be cozy. So that you can spend a little time with your partner during HARD:LINE: here's our love movie. Or rather: our "anti-love movie"? A movie for all lovers and all those who don't want to be. For cuddling, for snogging... for breaking up? That's for everyone to decide for themselves. In any case, the directing duo Alix Austin and Keir Siewert will be present and will certainly be able to explain their declaration of love in body horror form.
20:00 THE COMPLEX FORMS
Friday, 8pm. Those who already have movie no. 4 under their belts will certainly be longing for some relaxation and diversion. Hahaha! Not with us! It gets really complex at prime time. But not so complex that genre fans won't be thrilled. About as complex as Kafka or Kubrick. Director Fabio D'Orta will be traveling from Italy to present us with this beautifully designed debut work as a German premiere.
